brings us
to Bloomsbury.
Wales, harrys, tweet checks and warm knitted wool are the collection’s star fabrics, that repeatedly show impeccable pattern designs. The best fabrics and the love for detail are constantly present on every sewing and final touches.
The newest proposed collection for the next AW 2016-17 has been inspired by the intellectual british ambient of early XX century. The heart of London Bloomsbury will always be considered and recognized as the origin of a new liberal and humanist culture being led by genies like Virginia Woolf or John Maynard Keynes. All of this is the general atmosphere that WOM & NOW recoups and displays at the runway: the Bloomsbury of arts, literature and esthetics, modern and futuristic minds, as well as education and medicine. The signing brings the spirit of a new attitude before the process of life through the 70s, as simple as also suggestive.
Long coats, high necks, wide pants and infinite dresses recall the “London style” which demand the criterion’s own independence and essential individualism. Marked garments for a controlled maximalism that honor the importance of culture and art without losing the sense of a restrained and elegant touch that characterizes.
The designs propose a closet’s background that focuses on the full 24 hours of the contemporary woman. The day begins with a glamorous version of scottish checks and wide pants or sophisticated skirts that combine with all sorts of coats. The collection gives protagonism to the long and loose-fitting versions, although we can also contemplate tight coats. Every each of them with their own details like botons or fury necks that grant a touch of unique personality.
The Bloomsbury of WOM & NOW demands a free woman, profound and with character, capable of forging new attitudes always starting from a natural elegance.
Referring to the palette, earthy ranges such as camel, ochre, brown and burgundy dress the outfits for the day. For the night, the collection shows itself faithful to the temporality and majesty of black, which converts the perfect background to draw an autumn with full of organic reasons and daring with different fabrics.
The velvet and the transparencies with reasons of japanese inspiration convert into the protagonists of the night. Long and filmy or tight and suggestive dresses. The garments reproduce a delicate passion for a feminine and nostalgic look. Especial significance is given to the necks and the mix of textures are present on mostly all of the looks.
